Film Days
An inspiring day where your pupils get to act, direct and shoot their very own film.
Not only do you get a whole day of quality film teaching and making you also get your very own DVD edited film.
“A great way to develop literacy and communication skills”
All our days come with Splats Project packs which will help you on the day and give you a wealth of ideas for continued THEMED and PROJECT WORK.
Our film makers all work professionally and have a great understanding of the quality of work needed to make a film. The discipline, concentration, patience, communication and imagination needed to work professionally on a film are invaluable skills for your pupils to learn.
Following an introductory video and talk, the pupils actually make the film, act and direct themselves under the guidance of our tutor. The pupils use a broadcast-quality digital video camera as well as operate the boom and clapperboard. They will also have an introduction to the editing process. After editing, the school will receive a free copy of their film and, if you wish, the pupils can order their own copies too.
We have several types of day but are adaptable so please call or email with any queries.

This is suitable for one class of pupils (approx max 35)
New for 2008/9 - Dr What has been an amazing success.
Using Green Screen Technology the pupils appear as if there are really in the time depicted.
Our intrepid time traveller visits historical periods and of course saves the day. This is a great combination of drama, film making and a history lesson all in one visiting the Vikings, Victorian times and much more.
We can even adapt the script to suit whatever topic you are doing and bring HISTORY TO LIFE.
This suitable for four classes of pupils (approx max 140)
Here up to 140 pupils can participate and film a documentary about the school.
During the day our teacher will go from group to group making the film. There can also be an assembly to start the day and end for group shots.
If you would like a promotional film for your schools website then we recommend filming for 3 – 5 days.
The result is a film about your school – written by – staring (of course) and filmed by your pupils.
COUNCIL FILM FESTIVALS
We work with many councils on community film festivals where a group of pupils get together and make a film during the holidays. These are very exciting projects which naturally with a film premier at the end are great community events.
